We have two winners!!!!!!

Congratulations to the winners of our Razor's Edge contest!  I'm so glad everyone entered and I can't wait to see how your tops turn out!  I would like to get my pattern up for sale as soon as possible.  I don't want to sell it until I get your feedback. So if the winners would complete their tops as soon as possible that would be great!  I just ask that you follow the pattern to the 'T' when making it.  I need to know that all of my measurements and instructions are correct.  Thank you so much!  Please watch the video below to see if you won!!!!

Razor's Edge Contest!!!

I have some exciting news!  I have designed a pattern that I am very excited about!!!  I've named it Razor's Edge. It will be up for sale in our QIMS Etsy shop.  Check it out here QIMS Etsy Shop.

Before I can actually start selling the quilt pattern, I would like two volunteers to test the pattern by making the quilt top.  We will give 2 lucky winners the pattern to test for us and I will quilt them free of charge.  All the winner will have to do is pay for shipping their top and backing fabric to me.  Of course you are more than welcome to quilt it yourself as well.  If you would like to be a tester for Razor's Edge, please leave a comment below describing how you would like to create this quilt and how you would want it quilted.  That's all you have to do to be entered in the drawing!  On Friday, November 20th I will put all of the interested names in a hat and pull out 2 lucky winners!!!!

The pattern will be emailed to you as a pdf file.  We ask that you make the quilt top per the instructions using two contrasting fabrics.  You can chose two solids or one solid and one print. We already have one tester that is making a red/white quilt, so if you could chose a different color combination that would be great!  We would like to add your quilt tops to our blog after they are finished to showcase the different ways that it can be created.  So not only will you get a free quilt pattern and quilting services but your work will be showcased for everyone to see!  How awesome is that!!!!?  So please comment below to be entered into the drawing!  I can't wait to see the different ways this pattern can look!

Memory Quilt and Bear

Isn't this little guy just adorable?!  I made him for someone that lost her father.  This teddy bear is made completely with his clothing.  I used one of his plaid shirts to make jammies.  If you look closely you can see the buttons on his jammie pants.  Those are the buttons that run down the front of the shirt.  I didn't want to cut the shirt too much so I altered it at the neck to fit the teddy bear.  He is just too cute!  I also added the loved ones name to the bottom of his paws.  The person receiving this teddy bear will always remember her father when she hugs it.

I also made this memory quilt out of the same clothing as the memory bear.  Not only will she be able to hug her bear, but she will also be able to wrap herself in her fathers clothes and keep him close.  It's always hard losing someone you love.  Projects like these are very hard emotionally for me to make, but I know that they will be cherished for a very long time.

Linked In

Isn't this just a fun quilt pattern?!  I fell in love with it when I ran across it on the Craftsy website here Linked In.  The best part?!  It's completely free for you to download and create!  I chose to do some custom quilting on it to really make the design pop.  I really wanted to fill up the negative space and the pebbles and lines did just that!  What fun to quilt!  Below are some pictures of it as I was creating it and some finished pictures as well.

Of course, if you would like to have us create this quilt for you, just contact us and we can work something out! Enjoy the eye candy!

Sunshine Chevron

I had so much fun designing and creating this quilt.  I made it for my daughter last year.  The pictures above are of the finished quilt and before.  The very top picture is after I finished quilting it.  I haven't yet put the binding on it at that point so the edges are still unfinished.  I love two toned quilts.  Some may think that the teal/blue color on the back wouldn't work with the yellow and white but I think it works wonderfully!  Who would have thought?!  This was my first really big custom quilting project.  It took a few weeks to do and was a bit challenging.  I did the whole thing on my Babylock Quilters Choice Professional domestic sewing machine.  I decided really quick that quilting my quilts on this machine was working, but taking way too long.  So after thinking long and hard about it, I decided to finally purchase a longarm machine.  Quilting my quilts is SEW much quicker and easier now that I use it.

If you are interested in having a quilt like this contact me and we can work together to come up with a beautiful design just for you!
