This quilt was a blast to make! Together Pat and I created this lap quilt for a customer. Pat did an amazing job piecing it all together. She paper pieced the stars and appliqued the letters. How awesome is she?! Go Pat!!! I planned on doing an all over simple quilting design on this one, but after looking at it and all of the hard work Pat put into it, I just knew I had to do a custom job on it.
You can see in the pictures below how I did the quilting. I did a simple zigzag on the borders and added some lines to fill in the empty spaces.
Below you can see how the corners came together with the zigzag design.
I also did some zigzag quilting around the appliqued letters.
I did some simple all over stars and loops for the white area in the quilt.
And finally a quick pic of the back of the quilt. I just love the way this one turned out. The customer was happy with it and that's really all that matters!
